Jazz bassist looking for a little more playing time?

We’re a friendly group of experienced retired musicians in the Teaneck/Bergen County area playing jazz standards, bossa nova/latin, and the occasional singer-songwriter surprise. We’re looking for a bass player—upright or electric—who might enjoy subbing occasionally for rehearsals and our monthly Jazz Jam gig. This is an informal, unpaid situation: we play because we love playing, enjoy one another’s company, and like keeping the music alive. Good listening and reading skills, and a strong familiarity with jazz standards are essential. Interested—or know someone who might be? Please send me a message.
